Volunteer
Gaining clinical experience through volunteering at two large hospital entities has given me the opportunity to appreciate and learn how different professions ultimately work together to give the best patient-care experience that any hospital can give. Through volunteering, I learned about the operational side of medicine, which will greatly help me in my future practice as a physician.

Clinical Observation
Shadowing multiple surgical teams exposed me to the wonders of the operating room and the reality of medicine. I learned that as a physician, dexterity, teamwork, conscientiousness, courage, and creativity are all vital skills to treat patients and ensure the improvement of their quality of life. From getting first-hand experience in various specialties, such as cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesiology, vascular and orthopedic surgery, I learned about each specialty's different cultures and methods of patient-care. More importantly, realizing the magnitude of influence that the U.S. healthcare system has on every medical practice has inspired me to be proactive in learning about the business aspect of medicine, which will tremendously help my future practice in the long run. Through clinical observation, I found my passion for healthcare.

RESEARCH
The goal of this study is to discover and solidify surgical amputation techniques based on the patients’ various sets of specific health problems.
Hypothesis: Above-The-Knee amputations give patients a higher chance of survival and better quality of life, as opposed to the conventional belief that the lower the surgical cut, the better chance for survival and prosthetic fitting.
